Please take a moment to read through the terms and conditions below. These outline how our tutoring services operate and help ensure a smooth and respectful experience for everyone.
Scheduling Policy
School Holidays
​Tutoring is available during school holidays. If you'd like to continue lessons over the break, just let us know!
Public Holidays & Christmas Break
We may still tutor on public holidays and will let you know prior. Tutoring will pause over the Christmas period (23 December – 2 January).
Late Arrivals
If a student arrives late, the session will still finish at the scheduled time to keep things fair for all students. The full session fee will still apply.
Drop-off and Pick-up
To ensure a smooth session, please drop off your child at least 5 minutes before the lesson starts and arrive on time for pick-up. If pickup is delayed by more than 10 minutes, a supervision fee may apply.
Cancellation Policy
Cancelling or Rescheduling
We understand that life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please give us as much notice as possible (at least 48 hours where you can).
Short Notice Cancellations
For cancellations made within 24 hours of the session, the full cost of the session will apply. However, I know that sometimes things are unavoidable, your child may fall ill or an emergency may arise. If that happens, please reach out as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to reschedule within the same week.
If we need to cancel
If we ever need to cancel a session, we’ll give you as much notice as we can. You’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a refund, if applicable.
Extended absences or ceasing tutoring
For extended absences, please provide at least 2 weeks' notice, and if you decide to finish tutoring, we kindly ask for 2 weeks' notice before your final session.
Payment Policy
Invoices and Payment

Invoices will be issued before tutoring commences.

Tutoring fees are ordinarily invoiced in blocks of sessions, typically for a full school term. If you would prefer an alternative payment schedule, please let us know so that suitable arrangements can be made.

Payment is due by the conclusion of the first tutoring session.

Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer and PayID.
Receipts and Late Fees

Please inform us if you would like a receipt. Receipts can be issued upon receipt of payment, no later than the end of each week.

A $10 late fee applies to invoices overdue by 7 days.

If more than two invoices remain unpaid, tutoring will be paused until payment is received.
Liability Policy
Academic Results
We’re committed to helping every student grow and succeed, but academic progress depends on many factors, including effort, attendance, home study, and individual learning pace.
While we strive to provide high-quality tutoring, we cannot guarantee specific academic results or improvements. Bright Young Minds is not responsible for any outcomes beyond the tutoring sessions, such as test results, school grades, or missed academic opportunities.

Liability
By enrolling in tutoring, you agree that Bright Young Minds cannot be held responsible for any claims, damages, or costs that may arise from your child’s participation in tutoring sessions. This includes, but is not limited to, any direct or indirect losses, incidental issues, or legal costs that may occur.
Safety and Supervision
All tutoring sessions will take place in a dedicated classroom where a tutor will be present at all times. Tutors maintain a valid and current police check and a Working With Vulnerable People check to ensure a safe and positive learning environment. While we take every precaution to keep sessions safe and productive, Bright Young Minds is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings that may occur before, during, or after sessions.
Feedback and Concerns
Your feedback is always welcome and helps us improve the quality of tutoring we provide. If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns about your child’s progress or the service, please feel free to contact us directly. We encourage open and respectful communication and will do our best to resolve any issues promptly.
If you ever feel that something isn’t working, we’d appreciate the opportunity to talk it through and make adjustments where possible.
